My editor at Petshed.com asked for some help- Nick requested I put together my observations about the Petshed campaign, and some helpful suggestions to go with it. Also, he asked that I put my notes together for him- notes that I actually collated & compiled for the benefit of future team-members of the Petshed pool of writers.

So, Nick- I’m doing you one step better, mate. I’ve created a whole blog for that very purpose! Here it is.

This blog will pretty much contain all useful bits for future Petshed & Trixan writers (well, not just- but actually, all writers from anywhere!). Bear with me for the next few days as I try to organize this online journal bit by bit.

It’s a work in progress mate- give me a week or two.

Quite an interesting turn of events. I never expected to write full-time. Back in my radio days, writing was limited to researching all sorts of facts for music programs I’d put together. Or coming up with the month’s new set of sales flyers. Or coming up with a powerpoint presentation to win clients over. Or even this couple of times where we repackaged and repositioned the station with all manners of press releases, new collaterals and promotional copy.

Well come to think of it, it would seem that even as Sales & IMC Manager of Mellow 94.7, I’ve been doing quite an amount of writing. A large amount of writing, as a matter of fact!

I now write for an Australian-based website, www.Petshed.com. I’ve only been on the job for two weeks, and I should say that it has been fairly interesting. So yes, I have been given the mundane, uncredited task of rewriting content in the site, but beyond that, I think I have attained a kind of clarity that I’ve never had before.

I like writing. So much, in fact, that I have even gone so far as setting up multiple blogs within a span of a few weeks. Blogs are good; other than serving as a means of self-expression, they also (potentially) build your credibility, and at the very least build your portfolio.

Hey check out my two published articles on Petshed.com: here, and here!
